"What I liked most about working at the hostel was working as part of a fantastic team. Everyone was really friendly. I'm sure the two months wouldn't have passed as quickly as they did if I hadn't been surrounded by all these lovely people who really made me feel welcome and comfortable. I will really miss my friends at Derwentwater Youth Hostel. Thanks to all of you!"

Beate Fichl, student volunteer from Germany, February- March 2012.
